 use the TIME operation code to retrieve the current date/time. for the result field either use a 12- or 14-digit field. the current date will be in either the last 6 (for 12-digit) or 8 (for 14-digit) positions.

in ILE, you could also use a date or timestamp field in the result field.


:How do I set a field to current date? When I use Udate it uses the job's date. If the program runs in batch and it crosses midnight, I get the wrong date.
